303Network Reaches Out To Help 5 Year Old With Rare Illness

303Network produces monthly mixers for creative, corporate and entrepreneurial folks and offers a great opportunity for individuals to meet for business partnerships, sales leads, new business or even a new job. Known for "Business Networking with a Social Flair", the 303Network Denver Happy Hour consistently draws over 100 success focused professionals every month. Select local businesses are featured with a showcase table at each event in a casual micro-expo fashion. Regular attendees of the event have reported increased sales, profitable partnerships, and a multitude of successful collaborations as a result of the connections made at the event.

The event will be hosted on Thursday August 25, 2011 at 5:30pm at Fogo De Chao, 1513 Wynkoop Street in Downtown Denver. Guests will be treated to complimentary appetizers, drink specials, and complimentary valet parking.

This month the 303Network Denver Happy Hour event will be introducing a heart-wrenching Charitable Cause; "Help For Hailey Bug".

5 year old Hailey Visbal has a rare condition that is threatening her life. After several years of repeated episodes, hospital stays, and attempts to cure or ease the problem, little Hailey has reached nearly the end of what the medical world is able to do for her comfort. It comes down now to one clinical trial that may have the power to bring her some comfort and normalcy - and insurance will not cover the medicine the child needs.  Last week the 303Network team launched a social media campaign to raise awareness for a young girl with potentially fatal condition, and more than $600 was raised through online donations to help the little girl. Friends of the 303Network have helped the family raise a large portion of the funds that are needed, unfortunately they are still short.

More info about Hailey and the Visbal Family's painful journey can be found at:

In a nutshell:
-Hailey's "diagnosis" is episodic encephalopathy of unknown origin.

-If they are able to pay for the trial, Hailey would be admitted and started on the medication and would be monitored to make sure she doesn't have a reaction. After that she will be sent home and the rest will be outpatient.

-All of the appointments are in Denver. She will be monitored by her regular neurologist at PSL, her pediatrician in Stapleton then the trial team at university.

-The insurance will cover any medical care which will be any admissions or doctor appointments. The cost is only for the medication.

-The trial administrators will not take payments. Their reasoning is that you can not complete just part of the trial and if they take payments then people are likely to drop out if they can't afford follow up appointments.

-The drug is called flunarizine.

Guests may donate to the family directly via paypal by sending gifts to robinvisbal@yahoo.com and 303Network will donate profits from the sale of any showcase tables at Fogo De Chao next week to Hailey's family.
